Frequently asked questions

Can I use my own WhatsApp number?

Yes. You connect your own business number through Meta's official signup flow in a few minutes. The number and the WhatsApp Business account stay yours.

Who pays Meta's messaging fees?

Meta charges its fees directly to the payment method on your Meta business account; they are separate from ChatSeller AI credits. Replies to customer-initiated chats are generally free — fees mostly apply to template messages such as shipping updates.

Can the AI quote a wrong price?

No. Prices, discounts and stock are read directly from your store and re-checked at checkout. The AI never generates them, it only relays them — and no order is created until the customer confirms the summary.

Which payment methods can I offer?

Cash or card on delivery, bank transfer, and a payment link to your store's own checkout. Card details are never requested in the chat.

How do credits work?

Each order placed through ChatSeller AI uses 1 credit. If you enable add-ons such as shipping notifications or visual search, extra credits are used as shown in your dashboard. Monthly credits renew each period; top-up credits are valid for 12 months.

Can I take over a conversation from the AI?

Yes. Take over any chat from the dashboard, or pause the AI for the whole store with one switch. When a customer asks for an agent, the chat is handed to your team automatically.

How long is customer data kept?

Messages, voice notes and images are permanently deleted 60 days after the last message. Data is never used for model training, and we provide a data processing agreement.

Which e-commerce platforms are supported?

Shopify (App Store app) and WooCommerce (WordPress plugin). More platforms are on our roadmap.
